Will January signal the start of a Chelsea clearout after their poor star? Will Jurgen Klopp be able to bring in some of his own signings at Liverpool? We take a look at some of the biggest transfer rumors from over the last week. Enjoy!

1. Steven Gerrard

Rumor: LA Galaxy to Liverpool // Likelihood: Only for training // The Talk: Following LA Galaxy’s premature MLS playoff exit, Steven Gerrard flew back to England to relax after a disappointing campaign. As soon as he touched down at London Heathrow the rumors were rife of a return to Anfield on loan. The Independent reported that the Liverpool legend is likely to start training with the club and that he could even return in a playing role. However, it is thought Galaxy are likely to ask for a fee for his services and aren’t keen on brokering a David Beckham-style loan deal. An agreement where the former England international can train at Melwood (the Reds training ground) seems the most likely.

2. Willian

Rumor: Chelsea to Bayern Munich // Likelihood: Doubtful // The Talk: The Sun has reported that Bayern Munich are weighing up a move for Chelsea attacking midfielder Willian. The Brazilian has been the Blues star man this season despite the club suffering an alarming start to the campaign under Jose Mourinho. The 27-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge for £30million ($45.2million) in 2013 and Chelsea would want a huge fee if they were to sell. It is also thought Chelsea will offer Willian a new deal in an attempt to keep him in the Premier League. 3. Shkodran Mustafi / Jose Luis Gaya / Andre Gomes

Rumor: Valencia to Manchester United // Likelihood: Maybe one, not all three // The Talk: Manchester United aren’t interested in not one, not two, but three Valencia players in January, according to reports. Shkodran Mustafi, Jose Luis Gaya and Andre Gomes are thought to be the subject of a triple bid from the Premier League giants. Following Luke Shaw’s injury, left-back Gaya would no doubt be the most useful acquisition should the deal go through. The trio would all challenge for a starting berth at Old Trafford and would drastically alter the look and feel of Louis van Gaal’s side. The likelihood of Valencia entertaining an offer for three of their players would hinge on the money and their ability to quickly replace the stars. 4. Marc-Andre Ter Stegen

Rumor: Barcelona to Liverpool // Likelihood: Not likely // The Talk: Since moving to Barcelona from Borussia Mönchengladbach, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has struggled to establish himself as the No. 1 stopper at the Camp Nou. According to reports in Spain, Jurgen Klopp -- who tried to sign the German keeper when he was manager at Dortmund -- is keen to take the unsettled 23-year-old to Anfield. Although Ter Stegen is Luis Enrique’s goalkeeper in the Champions League, he remains behind Claudio Bravo in the pecking order domestically. Liverpool could be set to pay his £56million ($84.5million) release clause to land Ter Stegen, with the Reds first-choice Simon Mignolet coming in for constant criticism since his move from Sunderland in 2013. 5. Branislav Ivanovic

Rumor: Chelsea to Internazionale // Likelihood: Stamford Bridge exit // The Talk: According to the Daily Mirror, Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini wants to lure Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic to the San Siro this summer. The Serbian’s contract is up at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and the Blues are unlikely to open talks until at least February. Ivanovic, who has been going through a really bad spell of form, is thought to want to renew his contract at the club with his family settled in the London area. That is unlikely to stop Mancini’s attempts to entice the 31-year-old to Italy. 6. Alexandre Pato

Rumor: Corinthians to Liverpool // Likelihood: A good chance // The Talk: Corinthians president Robero de Andrade claims Liverpool have agreed a deal in principle to sign their forward Alexandre Pato. The former AC Milan player is currently on loan at Sao Paulo from Corinthians and he is thought to be keen on a move to either England or Spain once that deal comes to an end. Liverpool has a lot of strikers but are struggling to get them all fit after injuries to Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and the now-fit Christian Benteke. “There is an agreement in principle with Liverpool for the transfer in the coming weeks,” De Andrade told Tutto Mercato Web. “Pato had long expressed a desire to return to Europe. Liverpool await." Photo: Helio Suenaga

7. Rico Henry

Rumor: Walsall to Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City or Tottenham // Likelihood: Just a case of which club // The Talk: Rico Henry has been dubbed ‘the new Ashley Cole’ and is attracting interest from a number of top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham. Walsall are doing well in English League One and Henry has been putting in a number of eye-catching performances that saw him named the best young player in the Football League for September. The Daily Mirror report that the Premier League quartet are keeping tabs on the 18-year-old left-back. Walsall boss Dean Smith recently said: “If I were to liken him to anyone it would be a young Ashley Cole and it’s up to him how far he can now go in the game.” Photo: James Baylis - AMA" data-alt="Rumor: Walsall to Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City or Tottenham // Likelihood: Just a case of which club //The Talk: Rico Henry has been dubbed ‘the new Ashley Cole’ and is attracting interest from a number of top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham. 8. Goncalo Guedes

Rumor: Benfica to Arsenal or Manchester United // Likelihood: Not this time // The Talk: Arsenal are the latest side to be linked to Benfica wonderkid Goncalo Guedes, according to the Metro. The winger is likely to be available for around £40million ($60.3million), despite having only made 17 senior team appearances. It would be a lot of money for any club to spend on an 18-year-old, especially an unproven one, but you only have to look at this summer’s Anthony Martial transfer to know that expensive deals for teenagers can work. Guedes has been labelled 'the new Cristiano Ronaldo,' but he has a long way to go and a lot to learn. 9. Andros Townsend

Rumor: Tottenham to Newcastle United // Likelihood: Yes // The Talk: Tottenham misfit Andros Townsend is being linked to a host of clubs ahead of the January transfer window, and Newcastle boss Steve McClaren is interested in the winger, according to the Daily Mirror. Townsend was recently fined and ordered to train with the Spurs Under-21s after an altercation with fitness coach Nathan Gardiner on the White Hart Lane pitch. The 24-year-old hasn’t made a Premier League start so far this season and has only made six appearances in all competitions.  Photo: Jordan Mansfield" data-alt="Rumor: Tottenham to Newcastle United //Likelihood: Yes //The Talk: Tottenham misfit Andros Townsend is being linked to a host of clubs ahead of the January transfer window, and Newcastle boss Steve McClaren is interested in the winger, according to the Daily Mirror. 10. Angel Correa

Rumor: Atletico Madrid to Manchester City // Likelihood: Why not? // The Talk: Premier League leaders Manchester City are set to launch an £8million ($12million) bid for Atletico Madrid youngster Angel Correa. According to the Daily Mirror, the Manchester side have enquired about the 20-year-old’s services and are now ready to step up their interest ahead of a January move. City were hit with an injury to star striker Sergio Aguero last month and his replacement Wilfried Bony picked a hamstring complaint during their 0-0 draw with Aston Villa. Manuel Pellegrini could see Correa as the ideal man to step up to the plate.
